Description The HCPL-314J family of devices consists of an AlGaAs LED optically coupled to an integrated circuit with a power output stage. These optocouplers are ideally suited for driving power IGBTs and MOSFETs used in motor control inverter applications. The high operating voltage range of the output stage provides the drive voltages required by gate controlled devices. The voltage and current supplied by this optocoupler makes it ideally suited for directly driving small or medium power IGBTs. For IGBTs with higher ratings, the HCPL-3150(0.5A) or HCPL-3120 (2.0A) optocouplers can be used.

Since these devices are fabricated on a self-aligned process, they have very low crossover current, run cool, use little power, and are easy to drive.

The TLP350 is a photocoupler in a DIP8 package that consists of a GaA ℓAs infrared light-emitting diode (LED) optically coupled to an integrated high-gain, high-speed photodetector IC chip. It provides guaranteed performance and specifications at temperatures up to 100 . The TLP350 has an internal Faraday shield that provides a guaranteed Common-mode transient immunity of ±15 kV/ µs. It has a totem-pole output that can both sink and source current. The TLP350 is ideal for IGBT of small capacity to middle capacity and power MOSFET gate drive.

ACPL 798J OPTOCOUPLER
The ACPL-796J is a 1-bit, second-order sigma-delta () modulator converts an analog input signal into a highspeed data stream with galvanic isolation based on optical coupling technology. The ACPL-796J operates from a 5 V power supply with dynamic range of 80 dB with an appropriate digital fi lter. The diff erential inputs of ±200 mV (full scale ±320 mV) are ideal for direct connection to shunt resistors or other low-level signal sources in applications such as motor phase current measurement.
